The full-bore electromagnetic flowmeter that doesn’t need 20 diameters of straight pipe
In real pumping stations and treatment plants there is never enough straight pipe. The Promag W 300 has a special electrode and coil layout that makes it almost immune to flow profile problems – you can stick it right after a 90° elbow or even two elbows in different planes and it still reads within ±0.5%. Plus it has no liner bulge like old rubber-lined magmeters, so no pressure loss and pigs sail through. That’s why most new water transmission lines and big intake stations in Europe and Asia are full of W 300s.

Q: Can I really install it right after an elbow?
A: Yes – tested and certified 0*D inlet with two 90° elbows out of plane.
Q: Do I still need grounding rings?
A: Usually not – the sensor has built-in reference electrodes.
Q: How do I verify it without removing it?
A: Heartbeat Verification – 30-second test, signed PDF report, accepted by most auditors.
